UAE, Al-Fujairah: Zorkiy-2M satellites recorded a fire in the oil industrial zone

Earth remote sensing satellites Zorkiy-2M on March 16 captured imagery of the industrial area of Al-Fujairah, where a fire occurred at oil infrastructure facilities.

The obtained satellite images show the fire source and the area of the smoke plume’s spread. The materials of the satellite imagery can be used to assess the scale of the incident.

It should be noted, that Zorkiy-2M satellites are high-resolution spacecraft. Their main purpose is monitoring the Earth’s surface, including rapid observation of emergency situations for subsequent analysis and coordination of response actions.
